AI video editing with no upload Turn off Wi-Fi and watch it work

Most AI clippers need your whole video on their servers before they can do anything. Reelify doesn't. The AI runs on your Mac, so the file stays on your drive while it finds the clips, adds captions, and exports. You don't have to take our word for it: switch off your Wi-Fi, drop in a video, and it works. That's an answer you can give a client, a legal team, or a security review.

Free forever. No watermark, no credit card. For Apple Silicon Macs.

The trust problem with uploading

If you cut video for an agency, a brand, or a creator with an NDA, every clip starts with a question: where does the footage go? With a browser-based clipper, the honest answer is that the full file is copied to someone else's servers, and what happens next depends on their storage and retention terms, not yours.

That's a fair thing to be uncomfortable with. It's also hard to explain to a client who just wants to know the unreleased interview isn't sitting on a third party's machine. The simplest fix is a tool that never needs the file in the first place.

Reelify was built that way. The AI models run on the Apple Silicon chip in your Mac, against a file on your own drive, so there is nothing to upload. It also happens to remove the slowest part of clipping, the wait.

Check it yourself in a minute

Privacy claims are cheap. Here are two quick ways to test this one on your own Mac:

  1. The Wi-Fi test

Turn off Wi-Fi and unplug Ethernet. Open Reelify, drop in a video, and let it analyze. The suggestions, captions, and exports all work with no connection. If a tool stops without the internet, the work was happening on a server.

  2. The Activity Monitor test

Open Activity Monitor, go to the Network tab, and clip a video. You'll see whether anything the size of your video is being sent out. For a local clipper, there isn't.

Note: Cloud AI is an optional feature. If you turn it on, only the text transcript is sent for analysis, never the video. Leave it off and nothing is sent. The privacy policy covers it, and the NDA page lists exactly what leaves the Mac in each case.

Upload-based versus no-upload clipping

You don't give up any clipping

Working locally doesn't mean a cut-down tool. Reelify still reads the whole recording, suggests clips with a time range, a title, and a note on the hook, and lets you trim each one. It still adds word-level captions, keeps the speaker in frame for vertical 9:16, and exports a batch for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. There is no length limit, and no credits to run out of.

Drop in a video, review the suggested clips, export a captioned clip.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an AI video clipper that doesn't upload my video?

Yes. Reelify is a native Mac app whose AI runs on your Apple Silicon chip, so the video file is processed on your Mac and not uploaded. It also works with Wi-Fi switched off.

Can I use it on NDA or unreleased footage?

Reelify is built for that situation, because the video stays on your machine. Check your own agreement first, and note that the optional Cloud AI feature sends transcript text, so leave it off for restricted projects. The NDA page has a checklist.

How can I verify that nothing is uploaded?

Turn off your internet connection and run a clip. Everything still works. You can also watch the Network tab in Activity Monitor while you clip.

Does Reelify keep a copy of my videos?

No. The video file is processed on your Mac and is not sent to Reelify. Your clips and source stay in the folders you choose.

Is local analysis slower than a cloud upload?

No. A long recording is usually ready to review within a couple of minutes on a recent Mac, while a cloud tool has to upload the whole file first, then queue, process, and let you download.

What does it cost?

Reelify for Mac is free forever, with AI clipping on every video, 1080p exports with no watermark, and no credit card. Creator is $59 once with no subscription and adds unlimited exports from every video, all caption styles, and the full editing suite. There is also a free iPhone and iPad app with no video limit.

Keep sensitive footage off the upload queue

Try it with Wi-Fi off on a video you'd never upload. If it works, you have your answer.
