Short version: Reelify AI is a Mac app that turns long videos into short clips on your own machine, with no credits or per-minute billing. Its $59 lifetime deal ran on AppSumo and has sold out. The current equivalent is the Creator license: $59 paid once, covering one full year, with no subscription and no auto-renewal. AppSumo buyers rate Reelify 4.7 out of 5 from 36 reviews.

What Buyers Said About the Lifetime Deal
The lifetime deal is how most early Reelify users found the product. On AppSumo, Reelify holds a 4.7 out of 5 rating from 36 reviews. The companion iPhone app is rated 4.9 out of 5 from 35 ratings on the US App Store. Both figures were checked in September 2026.
The praise centers on price, speed, and local processing. The criticism is also worth reading before you buy: some reviewers want batch presets and more control over which moments the AI picks from long podcasts. If you cut 20 or more reels from every episode, test that workflow on the free plan first.

What Any Buy-Once Clipper Should Include
Whether a deal is lifetime or covers a fixed term, the same checks decide if it is worth it.
No credit caps
You should be able to keep processing, not hit a cap disguised as "fair use".
Exports you can use
Clips should be clean and export-ready, not locked behind extra fees.
No surprise renewals
Know exactly when the license ends and whether it bills again. Reelify's Creator license does not.
Workflow you can verify
Test the clipper on your own footage before paying anything.
Why Reelify Can Price This Low
Cloud clippers pay for GPU time on every minute you upload, so they meter you with credits. Reelify runs its AI on your Mac, so there is no per-minute server cost to pass on. That local architecture is what makes unlimited clipping for a single $59 payment workable.
Creator License vs Subscription Clippers
| Decision factor | Subscription clippers | Reelify Creator license |
|---|---|---|
| Cost for a year | Monthly fees that renew automatically | $59 once, no auto-renewal |
| Processing limits | Credits or minute caps | Unlimited, processed on your Mac |
| Uploads | Every source file goes to the cloud | Videos never leave your Mac |
| Platform | Usually any browser | Apple Silicon Mac only |
Reelify is not the right fit for everyone. It does not run on Windows or Intel Macs, and it is a clipper rather than a full video editor. If high clip volume matters more than pricing, the unlimited AI clipper page goes deeper, and the local AI video clipper page explains the on-device workflow.
FAQ
Does Reelify AI have a lifetime deal?
Reelify's $59 lifetime deal ran on AppSumo and has sold out. The current option is the Creator license: $59 paid once for one full year of unlimited AI clipping, with no auto-renewal.
Does the $59 Creator license auto-renew?
No. It is a single payment that covers one year. Nothing is charged again unless you choose to buy another license.
I bought the lifetime deal on AppSumo. Is my license still valid?
Yes. AppSumo lifetime licenses stay active. Use the activation page if you have not redeemed yours yet.
Can I try Reelify before buying?
Yes. The free plan runs full AI clipping on 2 videos, and you can export as many clips as you want to judge them on your own footage. Free exports carry a small watermark.
Best next step: run one real long-form video through the free plan. If the clips fit your workflow, the $59 Creator license gives you unlimited clipping with no subscription.
